Following two long years of research and interviews, I started writing my first Novel, Third Time Lucky. It was one of the most challenging experiences of my life as, firstly, I had never written a novel and, secondly it was a highly emotional storyline. One that covers abuse, drug addiction, rape, prostitution, the power of the human mind, and much more.

There were numerous days when I crumbled into a heap, tears rolling down my cheeks because I knew, through my research, that so many people suffer abuse in shocking ways. My writing enabled me to understand how the victims felt at the time, terrified that nobody would believe them, petrified that the perpetrator would find them once they had run away from home or - even worse.

Third Time Lucky touches the hearts of its readers in a unique way. It's not a soppy love story but there is love, as well as hate. It's not all about the horrors of abuse, it's also about healing and recovery. It's not the type of book that would make you giggle, although, despite the traumatic storyline, there is laughter too. And most importantly, it takes the reader into a world where, for a short while, they get under the skin of the characters and root for their recovery and, even revenge.

With many five star reviews on Amazon, I'm proud of my achievement. I'm also proud that despite all of the characters being fictional, I've been a voice for abuse victims and have also brought an awareness of mental illness through my story. I hope that someday, an Agent will look beyond the cover, read the entire book and take this book to a publisher.

Third Time Lucky, living the nightmare is the first of The Nightmare Series of books. Mummy's Little Angel, the nightmare continues starts twenty years later with many characters from the first thriller playing a key role in the sequel.
