ABOUT ME

I was born in the mid-sixties within a very close knit family, my early memories are happy ones despite being subjected to the Beatles and the Beach Boys for most of my waking day!

School was fun!  My first poem was written at the tender age of five and I proudly recited it in assembly. From that moment on I wrote poems both for fun and at school and continued to enjoy writing throughout my education.

In my thirties, I started to enter a number of poetry competitions. My lovely sons were growing up fast and I therefore had some spare time to write. After winning some competitions and being published in a number of anthologies, I wrote a poetry book then I stopped writing.

My enthusiasm for creating a novel was re-kindled a few years ago. Although my day-time job was extremely demanding, I found that writing relaxed me. Every time I sat in front of my laptop and continued with my writing , all of my worries dissipated and I became lost within my world of fiction. Then I read Gone Girl. It hooked me from the beginning to the very end, and I read the entire thriller in eighteen hours! I knew then that like Gillian Flynn, I could write gripping thrillers.  Since that moment, I am plotting new stories and jotting down ideas for many more books, two of which I aim to complete within the next eighteen months.
